Revised Central Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps Other than Multi-Split Systems, Appendix M1 and Multi-Split System Central Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps, Appendix M1 templates have been posted on the CCMS web site.

The revised Central Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps Other than Multi-Split Systems, Appendix M1, v5.4 template aligns with the recently amended certification requirements in 10 CFR Part 429.16(e)(2)(vi) and (4)(iv) established in the final rule published on October 9, 2024 at 89 FR 81994.

Additionally, both the Central Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps Other than Multi-Split Systems, Appendix M1, v5.4 and Multi-Split System Central Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps, Appendix M1, v5.6 templates have been updated to reflect the January 1, 2025 Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) specifications for central air conditioners and heat pumps. Manufacturers seeking CEE Tier 1 qualification for their models can submit the rating data needed for determining qualification using these new data fields. The submitted data will be evaluated for qualification under the applicable CEE specifications. These templates also include new optional fields for submitting data based on CEE Advanced Tier criteria.

These revised templates may be used immediately, but are not required until certifying compliance with the July 1, 2025 annual filing requirement. Additionally, the revised templates must be used by January 1, 2025 if seeking CEE qualification based on the January 1, 2025 heat pump specifications.
